Learning from Africa Learning about the reasons behind some of African technology is a way to learn about African economy and culture. To study water lifting incorporates to understand how a rubber bag is made and used. Next comes the dialogue with the users. This dialogue may reveal more if -for the sake of the argument only- an alternative for the traditional technology is presented. In case users like to test this alternative, even more reasons behind the actual situation can be disclosed.
