Targets for the re-design of the Rope Pump

• Integrate the RopePump in the design for the IrrigationCube as being developed in Guatemala
• Make it cheaper. By using standard 1 inch PVC pipes and 3 mm rope the lowest cost can be achieved when the rest of the construction can be made from freely available local materials
• Make it better. Achieve higher efficiency by higher pump rope speed and properly made crank construction and its bearings
• Make it easier to make. Use modular construction elements for crank, pump pipe construction and pump rope
• Get is well known by water management people. Create proper press coverage
